The Challenge is designed for an elite few: professionals, cigar sommeliers, and aficionados who have dedicated their lives to mastering the complexities of the Habano.
Introduction: The Pinnacle of Cigar Knowledge
Participants compete in teams of two, facing rigorous tests that assess mastery across all facets of the cigar universe:

Theoretical Excellence: Deep knowledge of Habanos history, geography (Vuelta Abajo), tobacco leaf types, and the entire manufacturing process (Totalmente a Mano).

Practical Mastery: Perfect execution of the cigar ritual, including precision cutting and lighting techniques.

Pairing Expertise: The ability to propose and justify the perfect gastronomic pairings, linking the Habano's nuanced flavors with fine spirits (Whisky, Rum, Cognac) and other high-end beverages.
The Challenge: Beyond Tasting
Successful teams from the National Qualifier (hosted locally by Avanti-Group) earn the right to represent their country at the Grand Final in Havana, Cuba, during the annual Festival del Habano. The winning team earns the title of Habanos World Challenge Global Champions and receives highly coveted, limited edition Habanos humidors.
